Neumann U 47 FET
The U 47 FET was originally released in 1972 as a replacement for the tube U 47. It uses the same capsule and head basket design but a solid state, transistorized amplifier that is phantom powered. It’s famously used on bass or and in front of bass drums because it can handle high SPL, but can often be an excellent choice on vocals. This is the recent Neumann reissue, which is 100% faithful to the original design.
